Dr. Brenda Johnson is Professor of Mathematics at Union College. She holds a B.A. from Grinnell College, and an Sc.M. and Ph.D. from Brown University.
Her research specializes in algebraic topology and homotopy theory, with focus areas including the calculus of homotopy functors and orthogonal calculus. She developed new models for algebraic applications and general homotopy-theoretic contexts. She has also supervised undergraduate research in knot theory, particularly intrinsically linked/knotted graphs. She secured NSF conference funding for the mathematics department.
