Brenda Imber is a Lecturer and Advising Coordinator at the English Language Institute (ELI) within the College of Literature, Science, and the Arts at the University of Michigan. She coordinates training and advising for international graduate students serving as Graduate Student Instructors (GSIs) and teaches courses focused on pronunciation, cross-cultural communication, and professional development.

Research Interests include English for Specific Purposes (ESP), English as a Lingua Franca (ELF), integrating technology into pronunciation instruction, and pedagogical strategies for international educators. Professional Contributions highlight her leadership as former president of MITESOL (Michigan Teachers of English to Speakers of Other Languages) and her role in designing programs for the Ross School of Business, such as the Academic and Professional Communication Institute and English for Business Studies.
