Breck Gillespie is a doctoral student and graduate instructor of record in the Department of Communication at the University of Missouri. She specializes in political communication, with research focusing on women in politics and the impact of gender on campaign strategies, advertising, and voter perception. Her work explores the use of long shot launch advertisements by women in the regional South and how gender stereotypes influence candidate evaluations.
At Mizzou, she teaches Comm 1200: Public Speaking and contributes to research at the Political Communication Institute (PCI). Breck holds a BA in strategic communication from Oklahoma State University and an MA in communication from the University of Arkansas.
