Brandy Aven is an Associate Professor of Organizational Behavior and Theory at the Tepper School of Business, Carnegie Mellon University. Her research bridges social networks, organizational behavior, and gender dynamics, focusing on how structural relationships influence coordination, ethics, and performance. She holds a PhD in Sociology from Stanford University and has taught courses ranging from MBA programs to PhD seminars.

Notable awards include the George Leland Bach Excellence in MBA Teaching Award (2019), Xerox Junior Faculty Chair (2013), and Gerald L. Thompson Undergraduate Teaching Award (2012). She has advised projects such as "Collaborative Pathways: Essays on Strategic Collaboration and Entrepreneurship Success" and contributed to teaching People Analytics, Research Methods, and Executive Education programs.
