Dr Brad Partridge is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow and Adjunct Senior Fellow at the University of Queensland (UQ) School of Public Health, affiliated with the Centre for Health Services Research. He holds a PhD in Public Health from UQ and has extensive experience in biomedical ethics, qualitative research methods, and policy analysis. His research focuses on ethical, social, and policy issues in healthcare, particularly in areas such as addiction, concussion management, psychiatry, midwifery, and biomedical enhancement technologies. Currently, he explores the integration of AI tools in clinical decision-making for melanoma detection as part of an NHMRC Synergy Grant.
Education: PhD in Public Health from the University of Queensland (2009), MA in Philosophy, and Bachelor of Psychology (Hons) from the University of New England.
Research Interests: Biomedical ethics, neuroethics, healthcare policy, AI in healthcare, addiction neuroethics, and the ethical implications of emerging technologies. Recent work emphasizes AI ethics in dermatology, concussion management policy, and maternal health.
Grants & Collaborations: NHMRC Synergy Grant (2023), ARC Discovery Grants (2011–2014), and affiliations with institutions such as Mayo Clinic and the Montreal Clinical Research Institute. His articles span topics like AI in medical diagnostics, concussion policy transparency, and public attitudes towards cognitive enhancement.
