Dr. Brad Aaron Modlin is the Reynolds Endowed Chair of Creative Writing and an Associate Professor at the Department of English, University of Nebraska at Kearney. His work bridges poetry, fiction, and creative nonfiction with pedagogy, wellbeing, and inclusion.

His research explores contemporary North American poetry, multimedia art collaborations, and the intersection of writing with wellbeing and inclusion. His viral poem “What You Missed That Day You Were Absent from Fourth Grade” gained national attention through podcasts like Poetry Unbound and The Slowdown.
