Boyoon Lee is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Political Studies at Queen's University. She holds a PhD and MA from Pennsylvania State University and a BA from Korea University. Her research focuses on comparative politics, particularly public opinion and the political economy of migration, with a regional emphasis on Asia and the Americas. Methodologically, she employs experimental designs and causal inference methods.

Research Interests:
Dr. Lee examines determinants of migration-related preferences, socio-economic inequality's role in migration decisions, and the impact of political elites on anti-immigrant attitudes. Her current projects explore migration in East Asia and Latin America, including elite influence via education/institutions, discrimination against co-ethnic migrants, migration-climate links, and economic motivations.
