Boualem Benatallah

Professor Boualem Benatallah is a Full Professor in the School of Computing at Dublin City University and an IEEE Fellow. His research develops concepts in service-oriented computing including web services middleware, business process automation, crowdsourcing quality control, AI-augmented services, and task-oriented conversational systems.

With over 300 publications (90+ journal papers) and 23,000+ citations, he has served as general/PC chair for major conferences and on editorial boards of ACM Transactions on Web and IEEE Transactions on Services Computing. His work has been supported by ARC grants, CRCs (Smart Services, Data to Decisions), and EU networks.

Professor Benatallah supervised over 35 research students to completion. He previously held positions at UNSW Sydney (21 years) and visiting positions at INRIA-LORIA, Trento University, and Paris Dauphine. He obtained his PhD from Grenoble University.
