Botao An is an Associate Professor at Plymouth State University's College of Business Administration, Department of Finance. He teaches undergraduate and graduate business courses including Financial Management, Money and Banking, and Financial Analysis.

Dr. An's research interests broadly include corporate finance, international finance, capital structures, and abnormal stock returns in both emerging markets and developed markets settings. His recent research examines the changing dynamic of emerging-market firms' capital structures and their determinants.
Dr. An serves as a faculty adviser to the PSU Student Investment Club.
