Bosco Rowland is a Senior Research Fellow at Turning Point, affiliated with Monash University. His research focuses on addiction medicine, public health, and mental health interventions, with a strong emphasis on substance use disorders, child and adolescent psychology, and health policy. He has led or contributed to multiple projects addressing opioid dependence treatment, school drug education, and telemedicine in addiction care.
Key projects include the 'Upscaling a pharmacist-prescriber model for MATOD' (2025–2029) and 'Co-designing a school-based program to promote help-seeking for substance use problems' (2024–2028). His work aligns with UN Sustainable Development Goals, particularly those targeting good health and well-being, quality education, and gender equality.
Recent publications explore peer navigation for helpline callers, global domestic violence experiences, telemedicine impacts on attendance, and social inclusion in education. He has collaborated with institutions like the Department of Health and Aged Care (Australia) and the Alcohol and Drug Foundation.
