Borsika Rabin

Borsika Rabin is an Adjunct Professor at the Herbert Wertheim School of Public Health & Human Longevity Science (University of California San Diego) and Co-Director of the UC San Diego Dissemination and Implementation Science Center (DISC). She is a national expert in the RE-AIM and PRISM frameworks, with extensive contributions to implementation science methodology, training, and tool development.

Research Interests focus on translating evidence-based interventions into real-world settings, particularly in cancer prevention, ischemic heart disease, and low-resource communities. Her work emphasizes stakeholder engagement, pragmatic study designs, and health equity across diverse environments like academic systems, VA healthcare, and rural clinics.

Scientific Awards include the NCI Competitive Innovation Award and SPiRE Award (D3721-P). She has secured substantial NIH, VA, CDC, and NCI funding for projects addressing COVID-19 testing, cancer screening, and veterans' mental health.

Implementation Science Contributions span developing the D&I Models in Health Research webtool, leading the NIH Grid-enabled Measures Database initiatives, and co-founding the ACCORDS D&I Certificate Program. Her capacity-building efforts train researchers globally in pragmatic implementation methods.
