Borislav Hristov

Prof. Dr.-Ing. Borislav Hristov is a faculty member at HTW Berlin in the Civil Engineering department. He specializes in Road and Transportation Engineering, focusing on planning and design of urban/rural roads, intersections, and intelligent warning systems for pedestrian crossings.

• Research spans traffic safety, road surface dimensioning, asphalt pavement bonding, and human factors in driving behavior through field studies and driving simulators.
• Contributed to Chapter 12 B Rail Transport in the Schneider Construction Tables for Civil Engineers and serves as an editor/reviewer for scientific journals.
• Member of the German Road Safety Council, with a patent on intelligent warning light systems for zebra crossings (DE202019001844U1).
