Boris Vodenicharov

Assistant Professor Boris Vodenicharov, PhD, is affiliated with the Faculty of Pedagogy at the National Sports Academy "Vasil Levski", where he serves in the Department of Athletics. His career spans roles as both an academic and a professional athletics coach.

• Bachelor's Degree in "Athletics Coach" and "Sports Journalism" (2003)
• Master's Degree in Athletics - high-performance sport (2004)
• Doctoral Dissertation on explosive power in athletic throwing (2012)

His research focuses on drug recovery in elite athletes and conditioning training for diverse sports including volleyball, football, and combat disciplines. He has coached national champions in javelin throw, shot put, triple jump, and long jump, with athletes achieving European and national records, Balkan championships, and Olympic participation. His athletes include Mihaela Pekova (2019-present), Georgi Ivanov (2012-2016), and Kolyo Neshev (2008-2011).

Beyond athletics, he holds proficiency in multiple languages (German, English, Russian) and computer skills in MS Office. His career demonstrates a unique blend of academic expertise and practical coaching excellence.
