Dr. Boris Orth is the Head of High Performance Computing in Life Sciences at the Jülich Supercomputing Center (JSC) within Research Center Jülich GmbH. He leads research and development in modeling, simulation, and data analysis for life sciences, including machine learning methods, while supporting life science communities in utilizing these techniques on high-performance computing (HPC) systems.
As co-lead of the Simulation and Data Lab (SDL) Neuroscience, he collaborates with Forschungszentrum Jülich institutes, university groups, and international partners. He also coordinates EBRAINS Germany, the German National Node of the European EBRAINS Research Infrastructure.
His expertise lies in managing EU projects, research infrastructures, and serving as a contact point for EBRAINS. He is affiliated with the Jülich Supercomputing Center (JSC) in Building 16.3, Room 330, and works within Helmholtz Information Program 1, Topic 1 & Joint Lab SMHB.
