Assoc. Prof. Boris Agarski holds a PhD in Environmental Engineering from the University of Novi Sad's Faculty of Technical Sciences (2015). He has been an Associate Professor since 2021 and currently heads the Chair of Metrology, Quality, Equipment, Tools, and Ecological-Engineering Aspects. His academic journey includes roles as an assistant researcher (2006), PhD assistant (2012–2015), and department secretary (2015). He teaches courses like Pollution Measurement, Environmental Management Systems, and Ecological Technologies.
His research focuses on multi-criteria decision analysis and life cycle assessment (LCA), addressing environmental engineering challenges in manufacturing, healthcare, and waste management. He has authored/co-authored over 60 peer-reviewed papers in journals like Journal of Cleaner Production and International Journal of Environmental Science and Technology. Notable projects include eco-design studies for industrial tools, adsorbent materials from agricultural waste, and occupational safety assessments in metalworking.
Prof. Agarski collaborates on EU-funded initiatives (e.g., HORIZON, CEEPUS) and Serbian national projects. His work emphasizes sustainable product design, pollution control, and bridging environmental engineering with occupational safety. He is fluent in Serbian, English, and basic Hungarian.
