Professor Booki Min is a full-time faculty member at Northwestern University's Feinberg School of Medicine, affiliated with the Department of Microbiology-Immunology. His research focuses on regulatory T (Treg) cell biology, immune tolerance mechanisms, and their implications in autoimmune diseases and inflammation.
- DVM: Seoul National University (1994)
- PhD: University of Tennessee (2000)
- Postdoctoral Fellow: National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, NIH (2004)
Dr. Min's work investigates cellular and molecular regulators of Treg cell functions, with recent studies revealing:
- LAG3's role in metabolic programming of Treg cells
- Commensal bacteria's influence on type I interferon signaling
- Single-cell heterogeneity in lung-infiltrating Treg cells during allergic inflammation
- Applications in kidney transplantation and autoimmune disease models
He serves on editorial boards of Faculty Opinions and Immunohorizons, and holds memberships in the American Association of Immunologists. His laboratory is affiliated with multiple institutes, including the Center for Human Immunobiology and the Robert H. Lurie Comprehensive Cancer Center.
