Bonnie Nickasch

Bonnie Nickasch is Director of the PMHNP Program and Tenured Professor in the College of Nursing at the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh. Her clinical expertise spans mental health, family practice, and addiction medicine.

Education includes PMHNP certification from University of Wisconsin Milwaukee (2021), DNP (UW Oshkosh, 2014), MSN (UW Oshkosh, 2006), and BS in Health Promotion & Psychology (UW Stevens Point, 1995). She holds dual board certifications in psychiatric and family nurse practice.

Research focuses on innovative educational methods and healthcare access for underserved populations. Publications address HPV vaccination barriers, LGBT healthcare training, and pain management. Awards include the AANP State Excellence Award (2020) and multiple teaching honors. Grants from AHEC and Neil E. Park Foundation support interprofessional education initiatives.
