Bonnie J. Auslander is an Associate Teaching Professor in the Professional Effectiveness department at the Leeds School of Business, University of Colorado Boulder. She joined Leeds in 2016, bringing extensive experience from teaching at Duke University’s School of Business and Cornell’s Hotel School. Auslander founded and directed the Kogod Center for Business Communications at American University for nine years, which gained recognition in BizEd.
Her innovative "audience dog" program — pairing anxious presenters with therapy dogs — has been widely covered by New York Times (video and article, among the most viewed of 2016), Fox News, Al Jazeera, Washington Post, and CBS News.
A published poet and radio commentator, Auslander lives in Lyons with two cats and a pandemic puppy. She is actively engaged in academic communication pedagogy and public outreach.
