Bonnie Carlson serves as Associate Professor of Law at Mercer University School of Law, specializing in domestic violence and family law advocacy. Her career bridges clinical education, direct legal representation, and national policy development.
Her educational background includes a B.A. in American Studies and Women’s Studies from the University of Virginia, a J.D. from The George Washington University Law School, and an LL.M. from Georgetown University Law Center. Prior to Mercer, she held significant roles including Clinical Teaching Fellow at Georgetown’s Domestic Violence Clinic and Training Staff Attorney at the American Bar Association Commission on Domestic & Sexual Violence.
Professor Carlson’s research focuses on practical applications of domestic violence law, victim representation strategies, and clinical pedagogy.
