Bolor Amgalan

Bolor Amgalan is an Assistant Teaching Professor at Northeastern University's Art + Design Education department within the College of Arts, Media & Design. She holds a MFA in Design & Technology from Parsons School of Design and a MA in Material Futures from Central Saint Martins. Her research focuses on e-textiles, extended reality, and NFTs as catalysts for social change, exploring intersections of craft, technology, and human-machine collaboration. She previously taught at Parsons and Pratt Institute, and consults for Imago Rehab (a health tech startup).

Her work spans digital fashion, wearable tech, and functional apparel design, emphasizing culturally sensitive transition design interventions. Notable projects include NFT frameworks for digital artifacts' long-term value and soft robotic stroke rehabilitation devices. Awards include the 2022 Strategic Seed Grant and 2020 VFILES Lab grant. She actively contributes to academic discourse through workshops on blockchain, creative coding, and speculative fashion.
