Bogdan Suditu

Bogdan Suditu is an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Geography of the University of Bucharest. He teaches courses such as Analysis and Urban Planning, Residential Mobility and Housing Policies, and Urban and Rural Development Strategies, while also contributing to interdisciplinary programs like the MA in Culture and Politics in European and International Context and the MA in Law of Urbanism and Spatial Planning in collaboration with other faculties.

• Education: Graduate of the Faculty of Geography (1997), PhD in Social Geography (2006, University of Bucharest and University of Angers, France), and graduate of École Nationale d'Administration (ENA), Strasbourg (2010).

His research focuses on social geography, territorial governance, residential mobility, housing policies, and urban-rural dynamics. He emphasizes the practical applications of geography in everyday life, including urban analysis, migration patterns, and territorial memory. His work bridges academic study with civic engagement in public administration and urban planning.

• Scientific Awards: Professor of the Year at the University of Bucharest (2017).

Bogdan Suditu actively participates in university governance as a member of the Senate of the University of Bucharest (since 2016) and served as President of the Monitoring Use of Resources Commission (December 2019). His expertise extends to regional development, cultural heritage, and informal settlements, reflecting a commitment to addressing socio-spatial challenges through interdisciplinary approaches.
