Boelo Schuur

Boelo Schuur is a Professor in Sustainable Separation Technology at the Department of Chemical Engineering, University of Twente, affiliated with the Sustainable Process Technology group. His research focuses on developing sustainable separation processes for chemical operations and enabling biobased/circular value chains.

• Key research areas: recovery of carboxylic acids from fermentation broths, lipid extraction from microalgae, lignocellulose fractionation, and stimuli-responsive materials for smart separations.
