Boel Gidholm is a Lecturer in Baroque Violin and Viola at the Eastman Community Music School (University of Rochester). With over 20 years of experience as a performer across Europe and the US, she has collaborated with renowned early music ensembles such as Ensemble Aperto, Apollo’s Fire, and ARTEK, and participated in festivals like the Victoria Bach Festival. Her teaching emphasizes the masterpieces of the baroque period, including lesser-known works.

- Graduate of Akademie für Alte Musik, Bremen, Germany
Gidholm co-directs Publick Musick in Rochester, NY, alongside her husband Christopher Haritatos, and explores 17th- and 18th-century violin-cello duo repertoire. Her chamber music performances span Italy, France, Latvia, the Canary Islands, Canada, Sweden, and Denmark.
Affiliated with the Strings, Harp, & Guitar Faculty at Eastman, she remains actively engaged in performing and teaching period-instrument concerts. Her repertoire ranges from Biber to Britten, reflecting her dedication to both historical and modern interpretations.
