Bodo Lippl

Dr. Bodo Lippl is a Professor at the Institute for Pedagogy, Martin Luther University of Halle-Wittenberg, heading the Quantitative and Qualitative Research Methods department since 2016. He earned a doctorate in Sociology from Humboldt University of Berlin (2003) after studying Catholic Theology (1989–1995) and Sociology (1992–1997) at Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich.

• Research: Empirical social research methods, social inequality, justice, educational research, LGBT* studies (homophobia, hate violence), and body/beauty practices.
• Key Publications: His 2023 work on autism counseling, 2018 analysis of LGBT* relationship violence, and 2003 dissertation on welfare state regimes and social justice.
