Bodie V. Pennisi is a Professor in the Department of Horticulture at the University of Georgia's College of Agricultural & Environmental Sciences. With statewide responsibilities for Georgia's landscape industry, she focuses on sustainable outdoor/indoor landscapes, pollinator health, and biodegradable containers. Her 20% teaching, 75% extension, and 5% service appointments include co-editing Scientia Horticulturae and advising organizations like GGIA, UAC, and GPGB.

Research Areas: Evaluation of ecosystem services in ornamental plants, biodegradation of plantable containers under Georgia soils, and pollinator-friendly landscape design. Her work addresses pesticide reduction, native plant alternatives, and the impact of cultural practices on plant-soil interactions.
