Dr. Bob S. Carter is the Senior Vice President for Health Sciences and CEO of University of Utah Health. He holds a professorial role in the Department of Neurosurgery at the Spencer Fox Eccles School of Medicine. Previously, he served as the William and Elizabeth Sweet Endowed Professor in Neuroscience at Harvard Medical School and Neurosurgeon-In-Chief at Mass General Brigham. His expertise spans neuro-oncology, clinical neurosurgery, and translational research in brain tumors, including CAR T-cell therapy and exosome-based diagnostics. Dr. Carter received his MD and PhD in epidemiology from Johns Hopkins University and a BS in chemistry from Brigham Young University.
