Dr. Bo Ren is an Assistant Professor of Accounting at the George W. Daverio School of Accountancy within the College of Business at The University of Akron. Her teaching focuses on assurance services, professional responsibilities, and spreadsheet modeling for decision analysis. Dr. Ren's research examines auditing practices, financial reporting quality, and the impacts of regulatory changes on accounting professionals.
She serves as course coordinator for assurance classes and participates in multiple departmental committees including research, program promotion, and faculty recruitment. Dr. Ren holds a PhD from the University of Connecticut and actively presents her research at national conferences including the American Accounting Association meetings.
