Research Interests: Blăjan specializes in the development and application of microplasma and microwave-generated plasma. His work spans environmental remediation (NOx removal), materials processing (surface treatment of glass and polymers), medical applications (sterilization, transdermal drug delivery), and numerical simulations of plasma systems. He also explores electrostatics and microwave engineering.

Education: He holds a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from the Technical University of Cluj-Napoca (2000) and a joint PhD in Electrical Engineering from Poitiers University (France) and Technical University of Cluj-Napoca (2006).
