Blaskó Ágnes

Blaskó Ágnes is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Sociology and Communication, Faculty of Economic and Human Sciences, Budapest University of Technology and Economics (BME). She is actively engaged in interdisciplinary research combining sociology, communication, and action methods, particularly sociodrama and drama-based research. Her work bridges academia with practical applications in healthcare, education, and social inclusion.

Her research interests focus on group dynamics, responsible communication, sociodrama as a qualitative research method, and simulation-based education. She explores how unspoken norms and structural constraints shape group behavior and how action methods can democratize knowledge and enhance learning. Her work emphasizes participatory research, empowerment, and methodological innovation.

The recent publications highlight a strong trend in applying sociodrama across diverse fields: healthcare (nurse empowerment, medical education), social sciences (music industry labor, bullying), and inclusion (LGBTQ+ in religious communities, Roma women’s stories). Her research consistently integrates performative and experiential methods to access deep social insights and drive change.

Blaskó Ágnes leads and collaborates on significant research initiatives, including the 'Drama as Academic Research' Research Group and the international PERFORMERS Sociodrama Project. She has secured funding from NKFIH and collaborates with institutions like Semmelweis University and civil organizations such as Háttér Association and OFF-Biennale Budapest.

She actively contributes to education by teaching courses like Group Dynamics and Responsible Communication, leading accredited training for educators in action methods, and training future sociodrama facilitators through the Hungarian Psychodrama Association.

Her projects involve key collaborations with experts such as Eszter Pádossy, Szabolcs Számadó, and Tamás Szegedi. She is also involved in the Dramatic Simulation Research Group at Semmelweis University, focusing on medical education innovation.
