Blanke Cornelia

Cornelia Blanke is a Researcher at the Fribourg School of Engineering and Architecture, part of the Haute école d'ingénierie et d'architecture de Fribourg. Her expertise spans energy modeling, district heating systems, applied mathematics, and computational methods like CFD and FEM analysis. She holds a MSc in Engineering and a BSc in Mechanical Engineering from her institution.

Her research focuses on developing efficient simulation tools for district heating networks. A key achievement is the 2024 article detailing a novel recursive solver implemented in C++, enabling rapid optimization of heating network configurations. This work was conducted in collaboration with energy sector companies.

Teaching includes thermodynamics, energy systems, and practical coursework. Her technical skills in programming and algorithms support her applied research in sustainable energy systems.
