Blanca Rodriguez is Professor of Computational Medicine at the University of Oxford, heading the Computational Biology and Health Informatics theme. Her research develops computational methods to accelerate therapy development through human-based modeling and simulation, reducing animal testing via digital twins and in silico trials.
Key innovations include the PRISM probabilistic model checker, virtual human heart models, and quantitative verification tools for assessing drug cardiotoxicity. Current work focuses on personalized cardiac models, AI-driven therapy optimization, and multi-scale physiological simulations.
