Birgit Plochberger

Birgit Plochberger is a Professor at FH-Linz, affiliated with the NASAN - Nano Structuring and Bio-Analytics department within the Linz Center of Excellence for Medical Engineering. Her research focuses on lipoprotein biology, cell membrane interactions, and lipid metabolism. She leads projects such as TC-Hyperchol (2019-2020), investigating lipoprotein-cell membrane interactions in familial hypercholesterolemia, and BF-LipoShuttle (2018-2020), developing modified lipoproteins for drug delivery. Recent work includes advancements in single-particle profiling and high-throughput analysis of bioparticles. She has delivered presentations on topics like super-resolution microscopy and biomedical nanotools.
