Bingsheng Zhang

Bingsheng Zhang is an Assistant Professor (Lecturer) and Program Director of the MSc Cyber Security program at Lancaster University's School of Computing and Communications, UK. He is part of the Security Lancaster research group, focusing on advanced security systems and protocols.

His research interests span Cyber Security, Cryptocurrencies, E-voting Systems, and Privacy-Preserving Technologies. Recent work includes cryptographic protocols for collaborative intelligence in cryptocurrencies and secure voting systems.

Bingsheng advises three Ph.D. students (Hamed Balogun, Nasser Al-Salami, Jiajie Zhang) and has mentored post-doctoral researchers such as Aamer Shareef and Zengpeng Li. He currently offers post-doctoral and PhD opportunities in challenging security research areas.

Key publications include contributions to NDSS, Financial Cryptography, and IEEE Security & Privacy conferences/journals, addressing topics like secure voting systems and blockchain applications.
