Bing Huang

Bing Huang is an Associate Professor of Art History at Providence College. He holds a Ph.D. from Harvard University and specializes in Chinese art, cultural exchanges between China and the West, and the intersection of art with technology such as VR and AI. His research spans topics like Buddhist sculpture, Han Dynasty architecture, and the impact of technology on art perception.

He has been recognized for his innovative teaching approaches, including courses like Asian Art through VR Games, which uses virtual reality to explore Asian heritage sites. Huang has received awards such as the 2017-2018 Innovation in Teaching Award and the 2024 Rhode Island Governor’s Certificate of Special Recognition.
