Bindiya Nandwana

Bindiya Nandwana serves as a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Physician Assistant Studies Department at Wayne State University since 2018, concurrently working as a Physician Assistant in Internal Medicine/Ambulatory Care at Henry Ford Columbus Center since 2015.

Her educational background includes:

• M.S. in Physician Assistant Studies from Wayne State University (2008)
• MPH in Health Education and Promotion from Medical College of Ohio & University of Toledo

Her primary research focus is the Physician Assistant Workforce, supported by extensive community health engagement:

• Pre-participation physical coordinator for Special Olympics of Detroit (2018–present)
• Lead Project Manager for Stepping Up to Health at University of Michigan (2005–2006)
• Teen Health Coordinator for MDCH Non-Clinical Teen Health (2004)

She is an active member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and Michigan Academy of Physician Assistants, teaching PAS7020 - Clinical Medicine II (Fall 2025) and PAS8250 - Physician Assistant Studies Senior Seminar I (Spring-Summer 2025).
