Dr. Binay Adhikari is an Associate Professor of Finance at the University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA), part of the Alvarez College of Business. He holds a Ph.D. in Finance from the University of Alabama, an M.S. in Finance from Auburn University, and an MBA from Kathmandu University, Nepal. His teaching and professional experience includes roles at the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley, Miami University of Ohio, and Kathmandu University, alongside brief banking experience at Standard Chartered Bank.
Dr. Adhikari's research focuses on corporate finance, financial markets, and investment strategies. Key areas include regulatory impacts (e.g., Dodd-Frank Act consequences), shareholder litigation dynamics, gender diversity in corporate governance, and the influence of cultural factors like religiosity on financial decision-making.
