Bin Li is an Associate Professor of Accounting and Chancellor’s Faculty Fellow at Vanderbilt University’s Owen Graduate School of Management. His research focuses on the intersection of information economics, accounting, and finance, particularly how accounting policies and disclosures influence firm behavior, market efficiency, and regulatory oversight. He explores emerging technologies and ESG considerations in modern accounting practices.
Education: B.A. from Renmin University of China (2005), M.A. from Tsinghua University (2007), and Ph.D. in Accounting from Duke University (2012). Prior to Vanderbilt, he held faculty positions at the University of Texas at Dallas, the University of Oklahoma, and the University of Houston.
Research Interests: Firm Disclosures, Capital Markets, Emerging Technologies, Big Data, ESG, and Regulatory Enforcement. His work has been published in leading journals and recognized with awards like the Notable Contribution to Accounting Literature Award and the FARS Best Paper Award.
Recent articles span interdisciplinary topics in genomics, oncology, and bioinformatics, reflecting collaborations or secondary research interests. These include studies on Alzheimer’s disease biomarkers, breast cancer genetics, and drug repurposing using AI.
