Bill Walsh

Professor Bill Walsh is a faculty member at the University of New South Wales (UNSW Sydney), affiliated with the Faculty of Medicine & Health and the Surgical & Orthopaedic Research Laboratories.

His research focuses on the interface between implanted materials and connective tissues, spanning orthopaedic, plastic, reconstructive, and vascular surgery. He works with autograft, allograft, and synthetic biomaterials to address clinical needs, while investigating connective tissue biology and biomechanics during healing, aging, and disease.

Professor Walsh holds a BA from Bucknell University and a PhD from the University of New Jersey. He is actively involved in multidisciplinary research and professional societies, including the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and the Orthopaedic Research Society.
