Bill Lane is an Adjunct Professor within the Administrative Division of QUT Governance at Queensland University of Technology (QUT). Previously, he held the position of Clayton Utz Professor of Public Law at QUT Law School and taught at institutions including the University of Sydney Law School and the University of Queensland Law School. His expertise lies in administrative law, with a focus on legal aspects of critical infrastructure protection, data breach disclosure obligations, and healthcare informatics. He currently serves as an External Consultant to the national law firm Clayton Utz and has contributed to landmark publications such as Administrative Law in Australia and Administrative Law in Queensland.
