Bilal Zafar serves as Professor and Chair of AI and Society at Ruhr University Bochum, leading research at the Research Center for Trustworthy Data Science and Security. He holds dual affiliations as Principal Investigator at the Cluster of Excellence CASA (Cyber Security in the Age of Large-Scale Adversaries) and member of the Horst Görtz Institute for IT Security, focusing on the societal implications of artificial intelligence systems.
