Bijan Parsia

Bijan Parsia is a Senior Lecturer at the University of Manchester (UK) in the School of Computer Science, affiliated with the Information Management Group since 2006. Previously, he was a Faculty Research Associate in the Mindswap group at the University of Maryland College Park. His research focuses on ontology engineering, semantic web technologies, and their applications in healthcare and knowledge management. He contributes to UN Sustainable Development Goals through digital futures initiatives and has pioneered work on ontology modularization, reasoning systems, and medical informatics.
