Dr. Bian Yang is Professor in the Department of Information Security and Communication Technology at NTNU, where he leads the eHealth and Welfare Security (eHWS) group. His research spans privacy-enhancing technologies, biometric data protection, secure health data management, and multimedia security. Dr. Yang develops frameworks for privacy-preserving data computing in healthcare contexts.

- MSc in Electrical Engineering - Assiut University (1998)
- BSc in Electrical Engineering - Assiut University (1995)
Current projects focus on consent management systems for IoT health devices, adaptive key management protocols, and privacy barriers in health monitoring systems. His work bridges technical security solutions with policy requirements in healthcare environments.
