Bhawesh Mishra is a Research Fellow in the Department of Mathematical Sciences at the University of Memphis since Fall 2023. He completed his PhD in 2023 at The Ohio State University, Columbus. His research focuses on Number Theory and Algebra, particularly exploring instances of local-to-global principles. Notably, he generalized the Grunwald-Wang theorem for subsets of rational numbers using elementary methods and collaborates with Paolo Santonastaso on connections between blocking sets in Galois geometry and local-to-global principles.
Education: PhD (2023) from The Ohio State University; Undergraduate degree from Berea College (KY), a tuition-free liberal arts institution for socioeconomically underprivileged students.
Research emphasizes Galois cohomology, algebraic number theory, and applications to polynomial root distributions. Current work includes extending results to number fields and stable prime subsets. His ORCID and zbMATH IDs are publicly accessible.
Publications span 2021–2024, addressing intersective polynomials, prime power residues, and linear coverings in vector spaces over finite fields. Collaborative efforts bridge algebraic structures with geometric interpretations in Galois theory.
