Bharat Kolluri is a Professor of Economics at the University of Hartford, affiliated with the Barney School of Business and the Department of Economics, Finance, and Insurance. He has taught hundreds of students over three decades, emphasizing career-ready education and student success. His research focuses on quantitative methods, financial markets, and econometrics.

Research Interests: Dr. Kolluri’s work spans quantitative methods in business, financial market policies, and statistical analysis. He has contributed to journals like Review of Economics and Statistics, Applied Economics, and Review of Pacific Basin Financial Markets and Policies.
Teaching & Outreach: He has taught at Andhra University, SUNY Buffalo, and companies like Pratt & Whitney and Cigna. He also trained faculty in Eastern Europe under a Millian grant (1992–1994). Currently, he leads the Cigna MBA program.
Future Work: He is expanding his textbook Introduction to Quantitative Methods in Business (2016) into a second edition.
