Bezold

Bezold is a Lecturer at the University of Würzburg's Department of Mathematics Education since 2010. Her research focuses on fostering argumentation skills in primary mathematics education, as highlighted in her 2009 PhD thesis. She has extensive experience in primary education, including roles as a teacher and Montessori trainer. She has led projects like Co-SINUS and serves as Regional Coordinator for the SINUS initiative in Lower Franconia. Notable awards include the 2010 Stiftungspreis and recognition for her doctoral research proposal at the ZFL Research Day (2007).

Education: Studied primary education with mathematics at the University of Würzburg (1985–1989), completing her first state exam in 1989. Later pursued Montessori training (1993–1994), French language education (1999), and earned a PhD in 2009 under Professors Weigand and Müller.

Research Interests: Dedicated to improving mathematics teaching methodologies in primary schools, with a focus on argumentation skills and self-differentiated learning. Active in teacher training and educational project leadership.
