Bevin Maultsby

Bevin Maultsby is an Associate Teaching Professor and Coordinator for Distance Education in the Department of Mathematics at NC State University's College of Sciences. She specializes in the scholarship of teaching and learning, focusing on online education, course design, and innovative assessment methods. Her research interests include mastery grading, inquiry-based learning, and integrating generative AI into classrooms, alongside a background in applied dynamical systems.

Education: Ph.D. in Mathematics (2014) and dual B.S. in Mathematics/B.A. in French (2009), both from UNC Chapel Hill. Notable experiences include a postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Minnesota and participation in the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution's Geophysical Fluid Dynamics program.
