Betty Allison is an Assistant Professor at the Fountain School of Performing Arts, Dalhousie University. A renowned soprano and graduate of the Canadian Opera Company Ensemble, she combines academic teaching with a distinguished performance career. Her research explores the intersection of vocal health, wellness, and resilience in mid-career opera singers.

Betty's research focuses on vocal pedagogy, performance health, and coping strategies for musicians. She co-founded a summer voice training program in BC emphasizing process-based learning for classical singers. Her teaching includes courses in Voice, Vocal Literature, and Performance Streams.
