Beth Buyea serves as Program Director of the PA Program and Clinical Associate Professor in the Department of Public Health and Community Medicine at Tufts University School of Medicine. She holds a Doctor of Health Science (Nova Southeastern University, 2018), Master of Health Science (Quinnipiac University, 2002), and Bachelor of Science (Syracuse University, 1999). Her clinical practice focuses on family medicine and primary care, particularly adolescent health and disease prevention, while maintaining an active role as a physician assistant at Brigham and Women’s Hospital.
Her research emphasizes Simulation in Medical Education and Interprofessional Education, with grants from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants supporting projects like oral health integration into PA training. She has presented nationally on topics such as board review strategies, interprofessional curriculum design, and PA licensure reciprocity.
