Beth Abaravich is a Lecturer at Otis College of Art and Design, specializing in Textile Science and Sophomore Studio. A native of Kansas City, Mo., she holds a Bachelor's of Fine Arts from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and a Bachelor's in Fashion Design (with Honors) from Otis College of Art and Design. She earned her MFA from Art Center College of Design in 2018. As a multimedia artist, she constructs new identities using resin, textiles, and paint.

Beth also served as a Contributing Writer for the Scenes From the Edge of Fashion blog at Not Real Art.
Research and Artistic Interests focus on textile innovation, fashion design, and multimedia art practices. Her creative work explores identity construction through hybrid materials and techniques, including resin casting, fabric manipulation, and painting.
