Beth A. Drewniak

Beth A. Drewniak is an earth scientist and Research Fellow at the Environmental Science Division of Argonne National Laboratory, with a fellowship at the Northwestern Argonne Institute of Science and Engineering. She holds a Master's in atmospheric science from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and a PhD in biology from the University of Illinois at Chicago.

• Specializes in land surface modeling and development of Earth System Models, notably leading the agriculture model in DOE-BER’s Energy Exascale Earth System Model (E3SM).
• Research spans land management impacts on water/energy cycles, root dynamics, biomass allocation optimization, mercury transport, biogenic emissions, and urban climate effects.
